This kimono style zip-front jacket features a funnel neckline, bat wing sleeves, and angled patch pockets. The pattern offers lined and unlined versions. View A sleeves are cut as one with the bodice section. View B sleeves are cut separately. Have your jacket casual in twill or fleece, dressy in tweed or gabardine, sumptuous in silk or velvet. Leave the patch pockets plain or trim with something eye-catching. We used leather on our sample.
Suggested Fabrics: Jacket weight fabrics such as wool flannel, gabardine, ultra suede, ultra leather, twill, silk suede, shantung, polar fleece, lightly quilted novelty pieces. Optional Pocket Trim – Light to medium weight fabrics including leather, velvet and ultra suede.

A wonderful pattern, and looks completely different depending upon the fabric it is made up in. Had to make a few minor adjustments after I made the first one [but nothing that prevents me from wearing jacket #1]: drop the height of the collar by 1/2″ at the front, and drop the elbow dart by 1 1/2″. I’ve also lengthened it a bit in one version. Instructions for lining are very simple to follow.
